Literature takes us into a realm of endless possibilities, one in which we can create our own worlds and celebrate the boundlessness of our imaginations. Writing also grants an author a license to play with language, experiencing it as a living, breathing thing. The written word can be a safe haven for those who cannot express themselves verbally. Through the crafting of poetry, short stories and scripts, Workman Arts Members are given an opportunity to communicate the words that, without this outlet, might go unsaid. In doing so, they learn to mold and shape their works into their own unique and personal literary voices.
