Madness & Arts World Festival

The Madness & Arts World Festival, produced by Workman Arts in association with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and Toronto's Harbourfront Centre, was the world's first arts festival devoted to celebrating creativity and mental health. The Festival ran from March 21 to 30, 2003 at Harbourfront Centre and showcased more than 100 artists.

Participants included artists from:

  • The United Kingdom
  • Japan
  • Germany
  • Denmark
  • The United States
  • Australia

Workman Arts crossed the Atlantic in March of 2006, when the second Madness and Arts World Festival took place in Münster, Germany. Workman Arts presented a remount its acclaimed original play Vincent at the Festival.

The third annual Madness and Arts World Festival is tentatively scheduled to take place in Amsterdam in 2010. Workman Arts will again bring its work to this exceptional Festival.
