Opening each June, Being Scene is an annual year-long art exhibition featuring approximately 60-80 works by new, emerging and established artists who have received services from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Since 1999, this professionally juried show has been exhibited at the Queen Street, College Street and Russell Street sites.
Our current call for submission has closed and the adjudication of the work took place on March 27th. We are very pleased to announce that 76 works by 48 artists were selected for the 2008/2009 show which opens Wednesday, June 25 at 12-noon. The public is invited to the opening, located in the lobby at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, 1001 Queen Street West (at Ossington) in the Queen Street entrance lobby.
2007 Exhibit Catalogues are available at the Information Desk at each location. Self-guided tours can be taken, or Workman Arts staff are pleased to organize tours for groups of 10 or more. The majority of the work exhibited in Being Scene is for sale. Contact Workman Arts for further details.
